Giffen's Glade

Deposits are Nonrefundable:

​     Once you have chosen to purchase an animal, a deposit determined by us is required as a nonrefundable deposit that will hold the animal, giving you time to make the necessary arrangements for transport. A pick up date will be agreed upon. If after 10 days, of the agreed upon date, the animal has not been picked up or arrangements agreed to by us have not been made, the sale is considered complete and terminated. We, at this point, may resale the animal with no compensation to the purchaser.

For convenience deposits can be made by e-transfer or cash. All money due is required to be paid in full prior to the animals leaving our property. No exceptions.

​There may be multiple requests for animals. No animal is held without a deposit.
We work on a first come first served basis or via the order of our waitlist.

Delivery/Transport:

​

 Shipping arrangements must be made by the purchaser. This includes shipping fees, shipping crate and any documentation that may be required by the shipper. Transportation may also be arranged to an agreed upon location on a case by case basis, for a fee to be agreed upon.

​Once the animal is picked up or delivered to the shipper the purchaser assumes full responsibility for the animal.

 

Delivery can be arranged but the costs would include gas and time for the trip both, ways unless we are already going in that direction.

Sellers Responsibility:

All animals will be disbudded and registered ones will be tattooed before leaving our farm, unless otherwise specified. We no longer sell animals with intact horns. Transfer of ownership will be processed within 6 months of the sale completion date.

Sellers Disclaimer:

​To our knowledge we provide all our buyers with animals that are in good health and free of disease and injury at time of sale (unless previous injury is known about by both the seller and buyer). The animals that are sold with the expectation that he/she will be given proper care and nutrition once they have left our farm.

Goats will only be sold to a home with prexisting goats or the sale of multiple together.

​

As we are dealing with live animals we cannot guarantee how they may mature. There are many different factors in the development of the animal including feeding, health care, maintenance, parasite control, housing, breeding, stress etc. While all animals are disbudded, we can not make any guarantee that the animals will not develop scurs at a later date.

 

We do not sell our goats for the intended purpose of meat.

Waiting List:

​

Our waiting list has two options: one that requires a $50 deposit and one that is free.

 

The $50 waitlist is for those who are serious about getting goats from Giffen's Glade and is outlined below:

​

- Order of the waitlist is determined by signup order.

- If we do not receive a response within 2 days to a goat becoming available, the available goat will be offered to the next person on the list.

- Genders and traits are not guaranteed, as is a kid becoming available for the next year. Reservations can be held over into the next year.

- Signing up for the waiting list means that you are committed to purchasing and raising Nigerian Dwarf Goats from Giffen's Glade.

- We require a $50 deposit to be placed on the waitlist. This deposit would go towards the price of the kid, and can be made over e-transfer (anitagiffen@gmail.com). If there is not a kid born for you at the end of the kidding season, the deposit can be refunded or you can remain on the list for the next year. Deposits will not be refunded for any other reason. Not getting any goats from us due to a lack of response from you when a kid becomes available, within the two days, is not a valid reason for a refund. This ensures you are committed to getting goats from Giffen's Glade and covers administrator costs do you decide against getting goats from us.

The free waitlist is outlined below:

​

- Once all kids have gone through the above mentioned waitlist, those on this list will be notified, via email, and kids will be sold on a first come first serve basis. 

- Kids will not be posted for sale on Kijiji or other sights for a period of time, allowing those on this waitlist time to inquire and purchase.
